The question is no longer “what’s the best comedy on TV right now?” Rather, it’s “how did so many comedies become so funny all of a sudden?

Last week’s episode of Community (Citytv, NBC, 8 p.m.) -a cult hit, one of TV’s funniest comedies at the moment and New York Magazine’s pick as the best series of 2010 -was dazzling in its dexterity, and was laugh-out-loud funny. It also had one of the sharpest, most cutting shout-outs to a Canadian band ever heard on a TV comedy.
