Glover spoke to Cinemablend at Comic-Con and stated that he really wants to do a Back to the Future episode, has an idea for it, but it isn’t well-formed. That resulted in the following exchange between co-star Gillian Jacobs and Glover.

Glover: It’s really hard to do. Time travel is already hard.
Jacobs: We can’t actually break the laws of physics.
Glover: We’ve never had actual magic on the show. Time travel is tricky. It would have to be some sort of, like, mistake. But a mistake big enough that it can sustain a whole episode, but also small enough that it doesn’t fuck up the rest of the world. So it’s hard. I had an idea, but it’s not well-formed.

Cinemablend has an Interview with Community’s Gillian Jacobs, here are some of the highlights:

Where do we pick up with your character in season two?

Well, you know, we pick up where we ended at the end of season one where [Britta’s] thrown her hat into the ring with what she thinks is only a love triangle, she doesn’t know it’s a quadrangle. I think that Britta’s ego got the best of her in that whole scenario with the “Tranny Dance” and maybe she’s having some regrets about how she behaved, because that often happens, and maybe feeling a little morning-after regret and remorse at how everything went down. But she’s a prideful person so I think that sometimes prevents her from admitting fault when it would probably be helpful for her to just say, “I messed up.” She’s created a mess. She’s created a big ol’ mess.

Are we going to see any surprises come out about Britta that we didn’t see in season one?

Every week’s a surprise to me. I didn’t know I said “Bag-el,” I didn’t know I had a cat, I didn’t know I had a one-eyed cat. I’m trying to think. I think that’s the really great thing about this show is that we’re so enriching the back-story of these people, so hopefully/maybe this year we’re going to delve a little bit more into their lives outside of Greendale. I don’t know, maybe we’ll learn more about her family, her life, or how she pays for community college – I have a lot of questions that are unanswered thus far. [laughs] I’ve been so thrilled, you know, with the character development that I had over the course of season one with flushing her out as a person with flaws and insecurities and hang-ups. So I can only imagine she has a lot more issues that I have yet to discover.

So with the second season and stiffer competition in your timeslot, do you think it will be those character moments or more for the movie parodies, like the Apollo 13 episode?

You have different fans who respond to different things. I can’t really speak for viewership as a whole, because I think that there are some people that really get attached to the characters and the love triangles, and that’s the thing that they’re really engaged in, and there are other people who are just in love with the pop culture references. So I can’t say what would make people tune in to our show specifically, but the thing that we have going for us is that you can never predict what we’re going to do next, because we’ve created a world where anything can happen. There’s not that sense of, “Oh, it’s the same setup-setup-joke.” I think that keeps people coming back, that’s what makes people tell all their friends to watch our show and have Community viewing parties. You know, say, “I won’t be your friend anymore if you don’t watch this show,” so I think that’s our strong suit. You can’t really predict what we’re going to do.

Gillian Jacobs is the latest cast member from NBC’s half-hour junior-college send-up “Community” to spend her summer hiatus on a movie set. She’s currently in Los Angeles shooting the indie comedy “Let Go,” a project from first-time writer-director-producer Brian Jett that also stars David Denman, Kevin Hart and Ed Asner.

Set to wrap production at the end of June and targeting a debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January, the film casts Denman – best known as John Krasinksi’s rival during the first three seasons of “The Office” – as a parole officer dealing with midlife crises.

A new episode of COMMUNITY “Physical Education” Episode 17 which will air Thursday March 3 2010 at 8pm on NBC.

Episode Synopsis: COMMUNITY “Physical Education” Episode 17 – Jeff (Joel McHale) is excited to show off his pool skills in his new billiards class, only to have his will tested when shorts, not designer jeans, are the required uniform to play. Meanwhile, the gang focuses on helping Abed (Danny Pudi) woo a potential mate by bringing out different sides of his personality. Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Ken Joeng, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover also star.

Also be advised that If you’re a fan of Joel McHale, ‘Community’ and flagrant full-frontal nudity, then here’s your Christmas present:

The ‘Soup’ host and ‘Community’ star sent out a warning on his Twitter page that reads, “So … on this Thursday’s new ‘Community’ I’m pretty much going to be naked. I’m sending this tweet to prepare my family.”

“The thing I love about NBC is that comedies have a chance to grow their legs,” said Gillian Jacobs, who plays Britta. Jacobs and her cast mates talked about the show’s future during a recent set visit at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. “NBC allowed ’30 Rock’ to find its legs, they allowed ‘The Office’ to find its audience, and look at ‘Parks and Recreation.’ It really is taking off this year.”
Dan Harmon, the creator, head writer and executive producer behind “Community” describes NBC’s Thursday-night comedy lineup as a brand and his show as a part of that brand. “We’re like an emcee for an evening of fantastic comedy,” Harmon said. “They put us on at 8 o’clock and we really hold our ground.”
