The “Saturday Night Live” alum is one of several engaging oddballs featured in this twisted and clever comedy about life at a community college. Joel McHale (“The Soup”) stars as a shady lawyer forced to return to campus because he doesn’t possess the proper degree. Once there, he sets up a scam study group and stocks it with misfits. The amusing cast also includes Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover and Alison Brie. 9:30 p.m. Thursday, NBC.
