EW reports that Josh Holloway — who played James “Sawyer” Ford on ABC’s Lost — is in the process of closing a deal to make a cameo in Community’stwo-part season finale. It’s set for May but no date has been announced.
Holloway’s character will emerge as a mysterious figure who shows up on campus during another game of paintball.
On Tuesday, Joel McHale (who plays Jeff) made an appearance to share a number of his “travel tips” — which include telling TSA officials that you are carrying a concealed weapon in a “broken heart.” With the new regulations out there, we all have to get ready for an abundance of flight-related humor over the course of the next several weeks.
IMDb has a review of the Community cast members. Here are the highlights:
People: Yvette Nicole Brown
“This has been a season of revelation for Shirley, and revelation for me playing Shirley,” Brown said. “There are layers to this woman.
It’s been fun to play her because I’m trying to figure out if she did used to be an alcoholic, and if she has possibly hooked up with Senior Chang in a bathroom for Halloween, what does that mean for who she really is? Is she a Christian who’s struggling? Is she a hypocrite? And that’s a lot of meat!” ”
People: Ken Jeong
“Last year, I knew what to expect,” Jeong explained. “My character was more structured. I taught a Spanish class, and I kind of knew that rhythm very well.
“Now, I just really get to play. And I love the fact that he’s not in the study group. It’s like Wile E. Coyote never catching the Roadrunner. It’s like Charlie Brown never kicking the football that Lucy takes away. I love the pain that he goes through.” ”
TV Guide has a theory about the show: That the characters in Community are real people who are slowly coming to the realization that they are trapped inside a TV sitcom, not dissimilar to the circumstances confronting the characters of the Jean Paul Sartre play No Exit.
Check out what the actors have to say about this theory:
Donald Glover (Troy): “Wow! That’s really cool! There’s so many things I love there — Lost, No Exit reference, which is a play I did — that is great!”
Pudi (Laughing): “I’ve been told things like that recently, like they’re all figments of Abed’s imagination.”
Brie: “Abed in a straight jacket.”
Gillian Jacobs (Britta): “I really like that. Did you ever watch that show, ‘Til Death? There was a plot line where one of the characters became convinced that he was in a sitcom, and it became even more meta than our show, if you can actually believe it.”
Gap is launching its Holiday campaign-”Want”- which includes a series of videos featuring Donald Glover.
The videos answer the question-if you could give anything in the world, what would it be? In Donald Glover’s video, he speaks passionately about giving back to Community Connections, which offers mental health services to both adults and youth of District of Columbia. What’s cool about this video-and all of the videos in the series-is that you can support various causes by sharing them with your friends and family. For every “Like” a video receives on Facebook , $1 will be donated to the charitable organization featured in the video, up to $150,000. Plus, each time someone “Likes” a video, Gap will give them a little something for themselves-30% off one regularly priced item.
